Subaru Outback

The Subaru Outback is mounted on the same platform as the Subaru Legacy station wagon, we'll talk about later on, but unlike the family in a rather more robust appearance. Our protagonist has the bumpers and wheel arches much wider, rails on the roof, the capo more arched, side shields and, in some versions, Duotone body. On the outside highlights the dual exhaust outlet in parallel in this range in the Subaru Outback as the Subaru Legacy, which further underscores its athletic character. However, the most important asset of this "crossover" is not on the outside, but on the inside. Like all models in the Japanese brand, equips, serial, permanent wheel drive (AWD Simetrical called) and boxer engine (4-or 6-cylinder opposed). There are two mechanical gasoline, which assembles the new model. On the one hand, a 2.5 liter engine cylinder that develops 165 hp at 5600 rpm and, secondly, a mechanical 3 liters and 245 hp at 6,600 revolutions, both atmospheric. The smallest propellant can be associated with a manual gearbox and five-speed-reducing or an automatic four relationships. At the most powerful engine you can only attach an automatic five-speed.

The engine has a 3.0 R-ratio relationship between engine capacity and power of 81-hp / liter, among the highest of its class. The automatic gearbox is pleasant enough (four-speed in the 2.5iy five for the 3.0 R), both in its use as a sequential automatic mode. The function "kick down" low-change one or two marches to start climbing of revolutions faster, with the aim of getting more acceleration at a given time, it works to perfection. The recoveries of both propellants are remarkable, although it must be borne in mind that this is very powerful engines that offer more than acceptable numbers of torque. The 3.0 R Announces 30 mkg at 4,200 revolutions and offer their best data -245 CV-power at 6,600 rpm. His best moment comes at the top of cuentavueltas.
